Paramount has snagged the rights to the upcoming comic book series “The Foundation”
from Boom! Studios. Boom! founders Andrew Cosby and Ross Richie will serve as producers of the live-action movie based on the five-book comic series. “The Foundation” is about the prophesies of Nostradamus who, upon making riches from his books of foreshadowing, created a foundation to keep these prophesies from happening. The comic will take place in present day with the foundation using the books of Nostradamus to protect the world from his revelations.
Cosby is one of the co-creators of the Sci-Fi channel’s successful series “Eureka,” and other Boom! Studios projects include action-thriller comic “Talent” and horror comic “Tag.” Both of these projects are in development at Universal.
