Spike “Selling Time” for 20th |
Spike Lee, fresh off his commercially successful “Inside Man,” has announced a new deal with 20th Century Fox to rewrite ‘Selling Time,” a supernatural thriller that he plans to direct. John Davis will produce along with Jennifer Klein through his Davis Entertainment shingle. “Selling Time” is the story of a man who decides to sell pieces of his life in order to relive and alter the worst day of his life. In 2001, Fox 2000 purchased the script from original scribe Dan McDermott while he served as president of Dreamworks TV. The project was transferred from Fox 2000 to 20th Century Fox when Peter Kang, the supervising executive on the project, moved to 20th. “Selling Time” has seen several different attachments at Davis. Forest Whitaker was initially considered as a director, and Will Smith expressed interest in the title role. Discuss this on our forums |
